Digital Printing
Printed Textiles for Fashion

I designed and digitally printed origional hand drawn prints onto organza, silk chiffon and crepe satin fabrics. The concept behind my designs were based on photographs of mysterious smoke trails. I did some initial drawings from the photos and then took them into photoshop where I manipulated them and created patterns, both repeat and placement patterns. The mood behind these designs was slightly eerie.
Designing for the designer
Gareth Pugh

These designs were designed to fit in with a chosen designers style and aesthetics, I chose to design for Gareth pugh. I chose a twisted carnival as the theme/concept behind my design work as Pugh has regularly used these sort of themes in the designing of his collections. I thoroughly enjoyed this project.
Knit and Weave
Fabric Samples for Fashion
​
I created woven fabric samples suitable for fashion using a four shaft loom and selection of yarns. I incorporated crochet into my final fabric samples. My inspiration was the iris. The colours and shapes fascinated me and were the source behind my final collection of samples.
